The technology that makes Miniflex unique
Miniflex OFPT is the only product on the market developed from a hard tube that has been engineered
to add flexibility. The result is superb crush protection and definable bend radius control.
Other manufacturers started with soft elastomers and tried to make them more crush resistant,
but these products don't offer the same guarantee of protection as Miniflex. Our tests prove that
Miniflex clearly outperforms other products, including the standard corrugated tubes used in the
automotive industry.
Damaged fibre causes signal losses
During installation, fibre is most vulnerable to damage either through mishandling or the inevitable
congestion and jumper bunching that occurs. In these scenarios, twisted fibres and cross-over
situations can lead to crushing of jumper cables and this causes kinks and micro-bends the result in
transient loss effects and data corruption. Miniflex overcomes these problems.
