Termination Kits
Miniflex Termination Kits are used to terminate OFPT at optical connectors on patch
cords (e.g., Miniflex's TuffNut™ Cable) or pigtails. Using a standard hexagon
crimping tool, connector termination at patch cords is completed quickly and
cleanly, providing optimum alignment which is simple and totally controlled. For a

Installation of Termination Kits leaflet.The crimp-on assembly grips the fibre cable components securely, and in
combination with the OFPT applies a high strength termination with bend limited
protection at the vulnerable connector interface. Miniflex Termination Kits are
available for all standard connector types including LC, SC, FC/APC, SMA and
various combinations of them. For non-standard connectors please refer to Miniflex for guidance on the appropriate kit to be used.
When used with OFPT these terminations provide:
• Aramid retention crimp: > 100 N pull off
• Crush protection (100mm sample): > 0.5 kN
• Bend limiting modulus: 8
• Bend limiting radius 30 mm (Nominal)
Miniflex Master Crimp Set
The Miniflex Crimp Sleeve Set (CS-SET-01) is a set of the most
commonly used crimp sleeves for terminating the range of Miniflex
OFPT at connectors, manifolds and other interfaces. The user can
experiment by choosing from the crimp sleeve components and
support tubes to find the best termination solution.The processes required for enabling and adapting the OFPT to suit the connector in question are outlined in the leaflet:
